Fire up the grill…and expect fireworks.  Sept 19 – Oct 19

A Pulitzer Prize Finalist and one of The New York Times top ten plays of 2012! In a suburb of a mid-sized American city, Ben and Mary see sudden signs of life at the deserted house next door and invite their new neighbors Sharon and Kenny over for a cookout. But as this foursome bonds over backyard barbecues, the neighborly connection they find threatens to unravel the lives they’ve built and change them forever. Ecstatic and dangerously funny, Detroit rips up the floorboards to reveal the racing heart under the suburban dream.

Length & Content

Detroit runs 1 hour and 35 minutes without intermission. The play includes strong language and adult situations. Recommended for ages 14 and up.

Adam stars in Venus in Fur at Actors Express

Actor’s Express

Venus in Fur

09/04/2013 – 10/06/2013

Playwright: David Ives

About the play
David Ives’ (All in the Timing) deliciously sexy comedy explodes on the Actor’s Express stage dripping with erotic, kinky fun. Vanda is a talented young actress who, despite arriving late for her audition, is determined to land the lead in a play based on a classic erotic novel. Her emotionally charged audition for the play’s director becomes an electrifying game of cat and mouse in this steamy study of sex and power.

New Interview

Here’s a link to a very fun interview I did last week about working on Teen Wolf, a new series called Rectify, my work with Out of Hand Theater and teaching, living and acting.  I hope you enjoy it.  Let me know what you think on Twitter.

Here’s the link to the interview.

Fan Teen Wolf Drawing

I love this drawing made by the most excellent Teen Wolf Fan, Sarah Tsuyo Okumura.  You can find her on Twitter @LightninBluEyes.

This is a drawing of the writer and creator of Teen Wolf as well as co-stars Orny Adams, Ian Bohen, Keahu Kahuanui and JR Bourne.  It’s an honor to be in such good company.

Keep the Fan art coming.  I love it.  Interact with me on Twitter @AdamFristoe

90 Degrees Animation

Here’s another animation that is very interesting and tackles an interesting dramatic and visual questions. Keep watching. Where does the character begin? What makes character in animation?

I’m particularly interested in the animated character’s desire to break free or be in control of it’s future. Sounds familiar.

In the ADAM lab project, we have the opportunity for the AI character to make choices, have will power, develop and aesthetic and contribute to the creative process. Easier said than done, but very engaging. I’ll let you know what we find out.
